🍵 “Itadakimasu” and “Gochisousama” – more than just words

In Japan, before eating we say “itadakimasu”, and after finishing the meal it is said “gochisousama”.
“Itadakimasu” expresses gratitude for the food, for those who prepared it and for nature that provided it.
“Gochisousama” is a way of saying “thank you for the meal,” politely and respectfully.
Just two words, but they encapsulate the heart of Japanese culture: respect, gratitude and harmony.
Next time you eat something, try telling her too.
You'll feel a little closer to Japan. 🍚✨
